ST. PAUL, Minn. – A gun-owners club has sued the Minnesota State Fair to drop is ban on firearms. The suit takes aim at a policy under which anyone with a gun can be arrested and charged with a misdemeanor. Specifically the suit seeks an injunction against Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher enforcing the ban. The Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus claims the ban violates citizens’ right under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The suit notes out also that Minnesota law allows people with valid permits to carry concealed firearms.
