WINONA, Minn. – The local Habitat for Humanity organization asked for volunteers to participate as “build teams” for Habitat’s next home construction project. The teams are a great way for groups to give back to their community and support affordable housing here in Winona,” said Jessi Darst, community engagement coordinator. Teams consist of eight to 10 coworkers, friends, club members, friends, family, or neighbors, perhaps co-sponsored by employers or faith groups. Habitat houses are built for famiies needig a starter home.
