RED WING, Minn. – Michael Reyes of Red Wing had his day in court on his 21st birthday. The judge said 15 years. Reyes had admitted to the fatal shooting of 28-year-old D’andre Hicks in a gas station argument in June 2019. Reyes was arrested later the same day at a motel 40 miles away in the St. Paul suburb of Woodbury. Reyes was indicted on a dozen felony charges including first-degree murder. The charge was actually bargained down to second-degree murder.
