WINONA, Minn. – Because of excessive heat, forecast in the mid-90s, students at Jefferson and Washington-Kosciusko elementary schools were released early. This included early childhood programming at W-K. Children were served lunch, then bused home. The School District’s third elementary school, Goodview, remained on schedule, but busing students were picked up at 2:15 p.m. and could be expected home 20 minutes early. Other schools remained in session.
