MURFREESBORO, Aek. – A Minnesota couple celebrating their 10th anniversary with a road trip stopped at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. There, as they sifted through sand, as do many tourists, Jessica and Seth Erickson of Chatfield found a 1.9-carat brown diamond.

Crater of Diamonds. The park is near the only public diamond mine in the United States. There it’s finders keepers. Jessica Erickson said sifting for diamonds is like hunting for agates back home in Minnesota.
