WINONA, Minn. – Back at the helm of the Winona Historical Society is Mark Peterson – for a while. Peterson stepped into his old job as executive director until a new successor can be found. He retired in May 2019 and was replaced by Genia Hesser. She resigned in April. Meanwhile, Peterson is completing his second term as mayor of Winona.
