ST. CHARLES, Minn. – A motorist called the sheriff’s office with concern about horses outside in the cold for several days at an Amish farm east of St. Charles. Deputies checked with the family and were assured that the horses had sufficient grazing access and that frozen-over water was being broken regularly for them. The family also said the horses had shelter available.
