SR.PAUL, Minn. – Hospitals have offered strike-breaking nurses almost $8,000 each for five days work. The offer was advertised in advance of the strike that began Monday. The $8,000 covered two days of training and three days of strike service. Some ads listed $10,000 for high-level duties.. The relief nurses have been bused to their hospitals through and around pickets lines. The Minnesota Nurses Association, which called the strike, objected to bringing in relief nurses.
