WINONA, Minn. – More studies are needed to determine whether existing Co-Vid vaccines can be effective against virus strains t evolving in Brazil England and South Africa, according to Melanie Tatge, county public health supervisor. Tatge said that research in underway even as the mutants are establishing footholds in the United States. She spoke in an interview on radio station KWNO. She acknowledged that Biden Administration adviser Michael Osterholm at the University f Minnesota has predicted that variant strains will become the dominant throughout the nation by March. A fellow Biden adviser, Tony Fauci, says there is a mutant threat but that Osterholm timeline may too gloomy.
