- PAUL, Minn. – State agents found a few restaurants and bars, but not many, to be violating coronavirus regulations. The agents, from the Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division, visited 919 establishments during a two-week sweep to check on compliance with mask requirements, social distancing guidelines, and keeping capacity at 50% max. Ten bars and restaurants were found to be in violation of all three areas of emphasis. A business in violation could face fines or loss of a liquor license. Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said agents worked with establishments on marking areas for better social distancing, educating employees about wearing masks, canceling bands, and unplugging pool tables and dart machines to maintain social distance.
