BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. – A 33-year Jackson County jail inmate was found dead in a cell. Sheriff Duane Waldera said the inmate was 33 years old. He declined to release the name immediately. Deputies and first-responders tried to revive the man but were unsuccessful, Waldera said. An autopsy was ordered. Waldera said there would an external investigation. In-house surveillance video and paperwork related to the case will be turned over to investigators, he said.
