HAYWARD, Wis.— A Sawyer County judge blocked Gov. Evers’ order limiting the size of indoor gatherings during the COVID pandemic. The order, by Judge John Martin Yackel, has statewide effect. The Wisconsin Tavern League had asked that Evers’ order he stricken. The League’s president, Chris Marsica said no that restaurants, taverns, bars, and supper clubs did not cause the pandemic and were systematically and unfairly facing bankruptcy, closure, and economic ruin.
