LINCOLN, Neb. – A federal judge issued ordered a Wisconsin company to comply with child labor laws – or else. The company, Packers Sanitation Services of Kieler, Wisconsin, cleans 700 slaughterhouses nationwide. Investigators claim PSS workers have included at least 50 minors scrubbing and sanitizing dangerous equipment on overnight shifts at five meatpacking plants in Arkansas, Minnesota and Nebraska. Meanwhile, PSS has promised to review its hiring policies and to provide additional training for managers.
