ROCHESTER, Minn. — A jury returned a guilty verdict against a Chatfield woman who assaulted a deputy and an ambulance crew in November. Tonia Kruger, 52, who has a history of alcohol-related offenses, had run off a rural road near Dover and overturned. Deputies  extricated her from the car to be taken to a hospital. According to the criminal complaint, she became belligerent and spat on an ambulance medic She kicked a deputy in the chest. She suffered a moderate concussion herself when she fell backward into the ambulance. She was quoted: “Going to get a lawyer” and “kill you all.” At the hospital her blood-alcohol-concentration tested almost 0.18% – more than twice what’s allowable to drive. She was charged with drunken driving and assault. The jury agreed.
