WINONA Minn. – Opponents of the Daley dairy herd expansion rallied at a tailgate event in Windom Park. About 40 Land Stewardship activists set up grills and posted placards on Huff and other streets that bound the park. The County Board meets this week to discuss a Daley lawsuit toi\ force approval of its plan to grow its herd by 3,600 cows. The Board previously denied a Daley request for a variance in response to environmental concern for already tainted Lewiston groundwater. The Daleys now have objected on technicality grounds to procedures that led to the denial.
