LANESBORO, Minn. — After 17 years the Lanesboro Arts gallery director, Robbie Brokken, is retiring. The gallery’s governing board s noted that Brokken has expanded exhibits from 20 artists to 90 regional artists across a variety of art forms. Brokken created the annual regional high school art exhibition featuring work from students from Lanesboro, Chatfield, Mable, Fillmore Central, and Rushford-Peterson schools. The gallery internship program has mentored over 14 aspiring artists over the years.
