LANESBORO, Minn. – The Commonweal Theatre in Lanesboro begins its 34th season of live productions with the comedy, “I Ought to be in Pictures” in April, artistic director Hal Cropp said. The resident ensemble will be augmented with younger theater artists, Cropp said. The program:
> April: The comedy “I Ought to be in Pictures” by Neil Simon.
> May: The musical whodunit “Leading Ladies” by Ken Ludwig.
> July: The audience-involved “Mystery of Edwin Drood” by Rupert Holmes, based on Charles Dickens’s unfinished novel with 400 possible endings.
> Fall: The humor-laden drama “Good People” by David Lindsay-Abaire.
> Holidays: The whimsical adventure “Alice in Winter Wonderland” by Janet Allard.
Season ticket are $115, although discounted to $99 through November 14.
