ST. PAUL, Minn. –Tax incentives to developers for repurposing historic buildings was included in a tax agreement reached by Minnesota lawmakers. State Senator Jeremy Miller, R-Winona, who championed the bill, said that renewing the tax credits will create jobs, provide economic activity, and rehabilitate existing historic buildings statewide but also in downtown Winona. The credits, first enacted in 2011, were set to expire at the end of June.
