LEWISTON, Minn. – With a drug task force warrant, agents and deputies knocked at a Benson Drive address and found not only Justin Thomas Mercer and Janell Jean Peterson home but also non-Rx drugs. A plastic container of meth sat the kitchen counter. Paraphernalia too, agents said. This was about 11:40 a.m. No kids were home, this being a school day, but because children live at the house, the drug charges were elevated to possession with children present.
