ROCHESTER, Minn. – The financial officer at the Reichel snack food-packaging company entered a plea to the swindling of $600,000 on a company credit card. In court Thomas Wiechmann, 57, of Austin, declined to admit guilt but said he would accept whatever punishment the judge deems appropriate. Sentencing was scheduled for February. Wiechmann had been with the company 25 years. The unauthorized purchases were from 2013 to 2019. Meanwhile, Reichel’s financial controller, Loretta Taylor, 54, of St. Charles, has been charged with adding and abetting and also misusing a company credit card herself. She reported to Weichmann.
