LAWLER, Iowa – A Minnesota man was killed when equipment he was loading onto a truck trailer rolled off the trailer. Joseph Gathje, 21, of Lanesboro, was crushed under the equipment and died instantly, the Iowa State Patrol said. The accident was about 11 a.m. at 160th Street and Vanderbilt Lane in Lawler. Gathje was on the job about 50 miles from home.
