ROCKTON, Wis. – A rural Cashton logger was killed while felling a 60-foot red oak tree when it became caught in another tree. Raymond Miller, 37, was hit when the bottom of the tree kicked out toward him and pinned him to the ground, a sheriff’s deputy said. Another logger rushed to cut the tree free from Miller and attempted resuscitation but it was too late, the deputy said. The accident was in Whitesville Township seven miles south of Ontario.
