OSSEO, Wis. — An outsize chicken statute, 12 feet tall, four feet at the beam, which has been missing two weeks from its eye-catching roost at an Osseo restaurant, has been found 120 miles away. Artan Shabani, owner of Osseo Family Restaurant, said the bird is coming home – probably in the same enclosed trailer that thieves used to haul it off. What happened? Shabani said he was tipped that two guys were showing off the chicken at a backyard beer party in. Centerville, north for Saint Paul, and bragging about their bravado. Shabani called Osseo police, who called Centerville police, who paid a call on the thieves. Chagrinned and sober, the pair agreed to drive the chicken home. Shabani, beaming at getting the chicken back, said he won’t press charges. And, yes, the offer of a $1,000 reward still stands.
