WINONA, Minn. – A suicide-threatening man whom police had taken to the hospital ran out of the emergency room wearing only a flimsy examination gown. When last seen, the 20-year-old man was running across Mankato Avenue outside the hospital. The man did take his cell phone. Police tried pinging the device to locate him but to no avail. The gown, however, was found 10 blocks from the hospital on Fifth Street near the man’s residence. His girlfriend was asked to call police if he showed up. With temperatures in the mid-20s, it was a cold night for sprinting near naked. Was he wearing running shoes? Nobody’s sure.
