ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man whom a woman reported beat her up on the front lawn of her Marion area home in October is going back to prison – although not for the October attack. Richard Eaton, 31 instead was sentenced to five more years as a felon in illegal possession of ammunition. In a plea bargain he was excused from the October attack and other criminal complaints involving domestic violence, drug crimes, and another charge of illegal possession of firearms. Last July, before the Marion attack, deputies found 111 shotgun shells in Eaton’s bedroom. Those charges led to the new five-year sentence.
