ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Mayo Clinic is sticking to its vax-or-leave policy and fired 700 employees. The clinic said this is roughly one out of 100 employees. The employees had been given had been given 2-1/2 months to get their first dose of a vaccine or obtain a medical or religious exemption. Exceptions were available for medial or religious reasons. The clinic added that the majority exemption requests were granted.
