WINONA, Minn. – Everyone working at Winona Health is either vaccinated against CoVid or has an approved medical or religious reason for not being vaccinated, chief executive Rachelle Schultz said. Of 1,050 employees at the hospital, clinic, nursing home and related enterprises, more than 91% have been vaccinated, Schultz said. All others have submitted “declination” documents that have been accepted and remain on the job. Also, she said, N]new hires will be expected to be vaccinated or have a form completed and approved for an exception. The policy moves Winona Health out of the ongoing federal court cases on whether health-care facilities can require vaccination or testing.
