ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayor Kim Norton said she had been told that President Trump’s campaign people had decided to shift a Friday rally back to Rochester. Norton said she hadn’t details about the legal tussle between Attorney General Keith Ellison and the Trump people over the state’s COVID limits on crowd gatherings. Said Norton: “We’re awaiting word from legal about what they are thinking now.” The state limit, imposed through executive order by Governor Tim Walz, caps outdoor gatherings to 250 people. Local Republicans had been projecting 25,000 for the Rochester airport.
