MAZEPPA, Minn. — A Lakeville woman was found dead, apparently a homicide victim, at a campground just below the Lake Zumbro dam. Barbara McBride-Law, age 66, was in her camper She was from Lakeville, a south Minneapolis exurb in Dakota County — 65 miles from Mazeppa. No obvious trauma was observed, but the medical examiner ruled the death was due to homicidal violence. Wabasha County investigators quoted witnesses that McBride-Law and a man had been flirting the night before at the Mac’s Place Park camgo\round bar. One witness said rthe nan made suspicious comments after McBride-Law was found dead — that he thought he may have killed someone but he couldn’t remember. During a phone call with another person, the man was quoted as believing he may have badly hurt someone but didn’t know who.

Family: She enjoyed bonfires, cruising on her golf cart, and hanging out with camper friends.
McBride-Law. Had worked 22 years for Advanced Wireless, which specializes in two-way radio and wireless systems.
