ROCHESTER, Minn.  — A man accused of killing his womanfriend in Nelson, Wisconsin, and hiding her body 2-1/2 years ago remained in the Olmsted County jail pending a return to Wisconsin. Randall Q. Merrick has been charged with the crime June 10 in Buffalo County, Wis. On the basis of the warrant he was arrested June 18 in in Rochester, his current home. Minnesota authorities, however, cannot transfer Merrick without a formal rendition request.
