WINONA, Minn. – Local businesses are eligible for new $10,000 grants to tide them through financial setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the city announced. A computer-generated lottery will choose businesses randomly for grants. Grants are for payrolls, rent, mortgages and utilities for businesses with 50 employees max. The program is administered by the state Employment and Economic Development Department. Meanwhile, the city Port Authority continues to have other grants available.
