Where Winona and LaCrosse counties kiss

DRESBACH, Minn. – The haunched deck girders of Interstate 90 bridge at Dresbach, built 57 years ago, in 1965, loom for almost 2,500 feet over the Mississippi River main shipping channel. Major strengthening with new Minnesota-side ramps were completed in 2016. The extensive updating cost $210 million.

The bridge linking Winona County in Minnesota and LaCrosse County in Wisconsin carries 26,000 vehicles a day.
