WINONA, Minn. – When the first Winona shipment of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine shipment is exhausted, the Moderna’s version should be on hand. The chief executive of Winona Health, Rachelle Schultz, said that the state has obtained Moderna commitments for its vaccine. Meanwhile, a three-week schedule for vaccinating priority hospital workers with the Pfizer product is under way. In an interview on KWNO radio, Schultz said that 200 doses of Winna’s 975-dose first shipment are being reserved for Wabasha County but that Wabasha hasn’t determined its total need. It’s possible, she said, that extra Pfizer doses may be available from the first Winona shipment for additional high-risk patients or vulnerable adults.
