WINONA, Minn. – A Fountain City motorcyclist walked away from a collision with a car 2-1/2 miles up Garvin Heights Road on the bluff-top tableland. He was taken to the Winona hospital to be checked out. The driver of the car, age 17, was unhurt. The car was making a left turn out of Heights Road, police said. The biker was southbound. He swerved into the oncoming lane to avoid a crash and clipped the passenger side of the vehicle, police said.
