KENYON, Minn. – The person whose charred remains were found in a burned-out car outside a burning house near the Kenyon Country Club remains unknown, Sheriff Marty Kelly said. There have been no missing person reports. An autopsy has been inconclusive. It can’t even be determined whether the house or car was ablaze first, Kelly said. For the state fire marshal the case is still open. The house was home of lawyer Jerry and Barb Peterson. They were vacationing in Arizona. The fire was about 6:30 New Year’s Eve.
