ST. CHARLES, Minn. – Each day of the Winona County Fair will be noted for newcomers to the Fair’s Hall of Fame. Cindy Timm, Fair president, said there will be an induction at 2 p.m. Thursday, in the fairgrounds entertainment tent. The new honorees, chosen for volunteering in their communities, serving the fair, representing agriculture, or being an integral in the business community.

Joann Groth 2022 - Winona Journal

Joann Groth, Dakota: A 4-H club leader for the Pleasant Busy Bees. Has chaperoned 4-Hers to the State Fair, and volunteered as a judge for numerous 4-H projects. With husband Arlyn,  operated two farms, both of which are Winona County Century Farms. A pre-school teacher more than 25 years and a K-12 substitute teacher in nearby rural schools. How part-time as a library aide at a charter school.

MUEHLER Frank and Mary wna county fair hall fame - Winona Journal

Frank and Mary Kaehler, St. Charles: Owners of Kaehler’s Homedale Farms, which is known for registered Shorthorn, Simmental and Angus cattle. They met growing up showing cattle while in 4-H. Helped found the Winona County Market Livestock Auction that promote livestock projects at the Fair.

LARSON Pam wna co fair hall fame - Winona Journal

Pam Larson, Winona: With husband Jim, retired dairy farmers Aa 4-H leader and volunteer. Involved  40 years with the Pleasant Busy Bees 4-H Club and also the Winona Cunty 4-H Federation. Their Pickwick farm has been in the family since 1878.

Jack Mueller, Utica: More than 30 years as emcee at the Fair’s talent show. Many years as a 4-H exhibitor at the Fair. Mueller grew up on a purebred Holstein dairy farm in Fremont Township, Has operated Farm Service in Utica. In insurance sales  and real estate. A coach driver for Phillips and St. Charles Schools. Founder of the Utica Cancer Fund Raising group, served on the Utica City Council.

PETERSON Ken and Karin wna county fair hallf ame - Winona Journal

Ken and  Karin Peterson, Lewiston: Ken has been at Ag Partners for 29 years and earlier  at Lewiston Feed and Produce for 14 years. Helped his parents start Pete’s Meats in Lewiston. Karin has been with State Farm Insurance in St. Charles and Lewiston 36 years. They have been active with the Fools Five Auction. Ken has been the Lewiston Fire Department 28 years.
