WINONA, Minn. – A Winona High School grad from 28 years ago. Kristie O’Brien, has returned as the School District’s director of learning and teaching. O’Brien’s job is to guide systemic improvements for students’ social, emotional and educational needs. He salary: $101,700. For seven years O’Brien was principal for an international school in Shanghai, China. She also taught English as a second language in Minneapolis and suburban Richfield.
