MADISON, Wis. – A federal grand jury leveled a child porn indictment against a former children’s court judge. Brett Blomme, 40, was already facing state charges. He was a children’s court judge in Milwaukee County at the time he’s alleged to have trafficked in child pornography. The federal indictment charges Blomme with two counts of sharing a depiction through the online site Kik Messenger on October 30 and November 1, 2020. The federal indictment resulted from an investigation by Assistant U.S. Attorney Chadwick Elgersma. Federal conviction means a mandatory minimum penalty of five years on each count but could be as many as 20.
