ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Rochester man has been sentenced to a year for a burglary that involved the death of a dog. Octavio Nique, 32, had pleaded guilty to ransacking a northwest Rochester house —  along with felony animal mistreatment. Police responding to a burglary last July found the dog, a pit bull mix, floating in a backyard swimming pool.
