LAMOILLE, Minn. – A woman up Little Cedar Road reported being scammed out of $1095.22. The woman told deputies that she had listed a pair of shoes for sale online and found a buyer. The buyer sent a check for more than what was due and soon requested the overpayment back through the Venmo payment site. The Little Cedar Road woman did so. Later she realized that the buyer’s check hadn’t yet cleared the bank, and, yes, it bounced. She called police about 2:15 p.m.
