LACROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University unveiled a new undergraduate major in computer science and graduate degree programs in nursing, nutrition, and school counseling. Glena Temple, university president, said the programs will meet community needs and set students on long careers. The new programs:
> Bachelor’s in computer science. Combines a foundation of computer science with an additional area of interest to enable graduates to design and build software for complex problems.
> Master’s in school counseling. A 60-credit program in K-12 education.
> Direct entry master’s in nursing. An accelerated 65-credit registered nurses program for students who already have a non-nursing degree.
> Post-grad doctorate in gerontology. For grads in nursing and other fields to earn a teaching doctorate on managing acute patient care.
> Master’s in community medical dietetics. For students with a degree in nutrition or other science-related fields to go into dietetics.
