LACROSSE, Wis. – A La Crosse man was charged with drilling holes in a neighbor’s apartment wall and spying on her. After his arrest police said that Robert Kautzman explained that his apartment had been cold. He said he figured the holes would help. Kautzman, ago 30,  was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and property damage. There were other peculiar particulars. Besides holes in a hallway near her bedroom, the woman told police she found a recording device in a bathroom light fixture. Also, she said, $80 worth of her underwear was missing after a previous break-in. The woman said Kautzman admitted to the activities when confronted by her manfriend, who shared the apartment.

Kautzman. Told police he was “mentally weird” and “sometimes does things that are crazy.”
