MENOMONIE, Wis. – A Menomonie man suspects toxic algae killed his dog Bing after a brief plunge in Lake Menomin. Cody Christianson said he took Bing to Wakanda Park on June 8 to play disc golf. as he had many times. It was a hot day, and Bing, although leashed, jumped in to cool down. Minutes later, Bing was back but his eyes were rolled up into the back of his head and he was foaming at the mouth. Christianson said. Bing was dead by the time they reached a veterinarian.
