WEAVER, Minn. – The often soggy seven-mile route up the Whitewater River from U.S. Highway 61 is closed. Again. The gravel part of the route, County 74, is in poor condition due to the spring thaw and wet weather. The state Transportation Department doesn’t expect the route to passable for two weeks. The route connects Weaver on the Mississippi River and Elba and St. Charles.
