DAKOTA, Minn. – A sheriff’s deputy stopped David J. Atchison, 24, of Sparta, on Highway 61 for what the deputy figured was suspicious activity. A search of the vehicle yielded suspected drugs and drug gear — methamphetamine, paraphernalia and marijuana. An internet check showed an outstanding arrest warrant from Wisconsin. Atchison was arrested on suspicion of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest was about 2 a.m.
