WINONA Minn. – Police arrested a man for trying to sell copper wire that had been retrieved from a fire at the Modern Transport trucking depot on the riverfront on the Far East End. Arrested in the process of selling the wire at Miller Scrap was Kirk P. Peterson, 59, of Winona, police said. The wire, police said, was worth $1,100. The wire had been pulled from a burn pile at Modern Transport at 780 East Front Street the night before.

Peterson. Might it be called a red-handed arrest?
