ANKENY, Iowa – The nine-truck Hy-Vee disaster relief fleet left for hurricane-ravaged Florida with a 23-person crew. The semis carried water, ice, snacks, cleaning supplies and 1 million meals for displaced people. It’s a 12-day response effort. The Iowa-based grocery chain operates 285 stores mostly in the Upper Midwest.
