WILSON, Minn.  — The priest whose bailiwick includes the now-shuttered Immaculate Conception Church wasn’t pleased that a vendor had set up a stand to sell pumpkins in front of the church. “OK, OK,” said the priest. “You stay for this Halloween but never again.” The church was closed in 2022 and merged intiothe St. Rose of Lima parish 14 miles away in Lewiston. The site of the Wilson church has lots of traffic — and possible pumpkin purchasers — on busy Highway 43 that connects Winona and Houston County.
