MADISON, Wis. – Hundreds of protestors gathered at the State Capitol to support abortion rights. Organizers, from Madison Socialist Alternative, said the rally was the first in a series over coming weeks in response to a pending U.S. Supreme Court opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade. A Madison second rally was planned for 3 p.m., Saturday. “We know that our power as working, young people is here in the streets,” organizer Rebecca Rovins told a WQOW interviewer. “We need escalating action to defend and extend abortion rights.”
