Ettrick, manager of manufacturing for Lake Center Industries in Winona and later vice president when it became part of TRW, died at age 89. He moved to Ettrick in 1966 and joined Gale Products in Galesville as a tool-room foreman. He became became plastics manager and then plant manager. He also raised cattle crops in the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s near Ettrick. In his Winona years he was chair of Comfortex and was a charter member of the Customer Advisory Board for Celanese Plastics Corporation. Within his TRW role, he opened a plant in Ettrick that employed 300 people. He was a Cub Scout leader. He served as president of the Ettrick Rod and Gun Club. At St. Bridget’s Catholic Church he chaired the Finance Council and the Pastoral Council. He served on the Winona Chamber of Commerce.
